The new PRECISION Torque Screwdriver (Part No. K5500) achieves accurate torque application by eliminating both under and over tightening using anti-slip technology. This enables the user to deliver the correct torque with confidence irrespective of the task and operator experience. Simple torque adjustment can be achieved without the need of any additional specialist tools due to the Quick-Lock adjustment ring on the shaft of the unit. This allows fast and accurate adjustment and at the same time prevents the torque setting accidently being altered during the tool use.<br />

The K5500 Torque Screwdriver is a screwdriver with components that ensure tightening to a specified torque, this ensures tightening which is adequate, but not too much. A screw/nut/bolt that is not tightened enough may loosen in operation due to vibration and or moving parts, and excessive tightening can damage parts; for example, if the nuts holding the wheel of a bike in place are too loose, or damaged by over tightening, a wheel may come off at speed damaging the wheel, bike or the rider.<br />

  • The Torque Screwdriver is used in mechanical production, manufacturing, and maintenance; their use is part of quality assurance. The Torque Screwdriver allows the torque to be set to any value within 1-6n.M (13.3 &ndash; 48.7 in/lb). This unit has a torque-limiting clutch that disengages once the pre-set torque has been reached. Torque screwdrivers and torque wrenches serve the same purpose, and that is to tighten a fastener to a specific torque where the fastener will perform at its desired function, and that make sure machine components, bicycle components, firearms components, motor bike components, automotive components, model components are securely fastened together and do not loosen unless unscrewed by an operator.
